Reports have emerged on how 13 passengers perished in an auto crash on Friday on the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.
The Kaduna sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Kabir Nadabo, revealed that the accident occurred near Olan Farm on the Kaduna-Abuja Highway at about 3pm.
The sector Commander, told News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, that the bodies had been moved to St. Gerrard’s Hospital in Kaduna South.
He added that the three persons who survived were immediately conveyed to AP Smart Hospital, also in Kakuri.
“The road auto crash occurred near Olam farm on Kaduna-Abuja highway about 3pm. When a Toyota Hiace marked GTG 96YA carrying 11 persons collided with a Golf Salon marked RBC 369XE with five passengers,” he said.
“As we enter the ember season fully, motorists are reminded on the need to adhere to basic safety ethics.”
Nadabo, therefore, urged drivers to always maintain the requisite speed limits.
“FRSC is committed to ensuring the roads are safe for all users,” he added.
“Corps extends its sincere gratitude to the Kaduna State Government for the continuous support in FRSC activities.”
