The Executive members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ward 10, Toru-Ndoro in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, weekend, nullified the alleged suspension of Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri from the the party in the Ward.

In his stead, the Ward Executives suspended the Local Government APC Chairman, Eniekenemi Senator Mitin.

Recall that Mitin, on Thursday announced the suspension of Lokpobiri, from APC for alleged anti-party activities.

But in a statement by the Ward 10 Chairman and Secretary, Tankazi Anthony and Ederekumor Andakuroyeg, suspended the LG APC Chairman.

The Ward Executive urged members of the public not to recognize Mitin as Chairman of APC in the Ekeremor Council Area.

According to the statement obtained by journalists, Mitin was suspended indefinitely for alleged anti-party activities, fictionalization, high handedness and abuse of office.

The statement reads: “This is to notify the general public that after an enlarged Executive Council (EXCO) meeting held by APC members of Ward 10 in Ekeremor LGA, on the 11th of October, 2024, at Toru-Ndoro in Ekeremor LGA of Bayelsa State, the following decisions were reached to wit:

“The Chairman of APC in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Eniekenemi Senator Mitin is hereby suspended indefinitely from the party commencing from today, the 11th of October, 2024.

“The suspension of Senator Mitin is as a result of anti-party activities, fictionalization, high handedness and abuse of office which is inimical to the reputation of the party.

“Members of the general public are advised not to recognize or deal with Mitin Eniekene as a member of the APC until further notice.”

Recall that a High Court sitting in Yenogoa had nullified the APC congresses held between September and October 2021.
