The British media on Tuesday stated that the Manchester United coach, Erik Ten Hag is set to remain. This was contained in a statement by the British media.

According to the report, this is following a performance review of the coach carried out by the Premier League club, British media said Tuesday.

Recall that rumours had swirled regarding the future of Ten Hag after a poor second season in the hot seat at Old Trafford.

The once English league dominating club finished the 2023/2024 season in a lowly eighth-placed. It also experienced an early exit at the Champions League group stage.

The Club, however, experienced a twerk of good luck as it lifted the the FA Cup. Beating the reigning EPL Champions and city rivals, Manchester City 2-1 to clinch the prestigious trophy.

The winning of the Cup, therefore, boosted the 54-year-old Dutchman chances of keeping his job.

Britain’s Press Association reported that United have decided that Ten Hag will remain as coach. This is after spending a fortnight reviewing the 2023-24 campaign and overall first-team operation.

“With the former Ajax boss’ contract set to expire in Manchester next summer, negotiations over a contract extension have reportedly begun between the two parties.

Prior to the season-ending FA Cup final, reports suggested Ten Hag would be sacked regardless of the outcome of the match.
