After self-realization, repentance and apology, what next? In the recent times, deep conscience revival seems to be taking place. Some political elites and stakeholders seem to have realized themselves.
Some have confessed their sins and apologized for their role and failure in the Nigerian project.
It is a welcome development when people acknowledge their sins, repent and confess them. The next step is to forsake those sins and embark on a new cultural revival.
Every nation of the world has her history which may not be rosy and palatable. Portions of difficult periods must exist and efforts made to proffer solutions to them.
Humans are not above errors. However, when errors become repetitive, it raises questions of intrinsic intentions.
Now, most of the elites and stakeholders are regretting their mistakes. It will be good to go back and redraw the blueprint for Nigerian governance.
One was drawn at one time. It was eventually discarded for reasons not yet disclosed till date. If the elites could be truthful and bold to remember, there is already such a blueprint in their possession.
The documents resulting from the national conference convened by the former President, Ebele Goodluck Jonathan, is the needed blueprint.
What remains is its implementation. Therefore, it will be a good starting point. Those are unanimous documents, discussed in details and eventually drafted and ratified by all the ethnic representatives.
Therefore they should be brought out for immediate implementations. This is to save much time, energy and money for another lengthy arguments and discussions.
