The Nigeria Customs Service Board, NCSB, has confirmed the appointment of five (5) Deputy Comptrollers-General (DCGs). Also confirmed are eight (8) Assistant Comptrollers-General (ACGs). The confirmation was made during the NCSB 59th regular meeting of the service.
In a press release signed by Abdulalthe Board, the meeting, which was chaired by the Honorable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, held at the Nigeria Customs Service Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday, 14th May 2024.
The details of the confirmed appointments are as follows:

The new appointments were made to fill the vacancies created by some senior officers who recently retired from the Service. The principles of federal character, seniority and merit guided the appointments approved by the Board.
According to NCS, these appointments are a testament to the officers’ exemplary services and dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service. The NCSB, however, stated its committed to providing strategic leadership to ensure effective and efficient service delivery for optimum performance.
The Comptroller General, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi used the occasion to thank the retired members of the management for their meritorious services.
He also congratulated the newly confirmed officers and charged them to redouble their efforts to ensure the service attains greater heights.
Adeniyi urged them to work hard to meet the mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and trade facilitation amongst others.
