The former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate and former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has dismissed the statement by PDP that he has been suspended from the party.
Responding to the suspension statement on Saturday, Melaye said a breeze cannot be suspended.
Recall that the PDP has stated that the former Senator has been suspended by the party in his Ward.
But Melaye, while dismissing the statement, accused the Acting National Chairman of the party, Illiya Damagum of being the party’s problem.
The PDP Excos in Ayetoro Gbede, Ward 1 had suspended Melaye for anti-party activities and alleged misconducts.
According to Ward Exco, the former lawmaker was suspended for failing to honour a summon by the party.
The exco explained that resolution to suspend the former Kogi West Senator was taken by the Ward party executive committee. “It was the decision of the party exco during a meeting in Aiyetoro/Luagba Ward 1 on Friday.
“This was after a review of the report of the disciplinary committee set up to investigate alleged anti-party activities against Melaye.
“The resolution was signed by the Ward Chairman, Abayomi Osamika and Ward Yodson Dayo, Secretary.
However, in a video posted on his X handle, Melaye said: “You can’t suspend breeze.”
He accused Damagun of being the source of PDP problems.
“His belly is his God,” he said.
