The Amotekun Command in Ondo State have arrested a teenager, Sodiq Oyedokun suspected to be an armed robber. Oyedokun was arrested and paraded alongside 20 other suspected criminals by the Ondo state security outfit codenamed Amotekun in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

In an interview, Oyedokun lamented how his traditional bullet proof and anti- arrest vest meant to make him disappear from crime scenes failed him.

The teenage robber noted that he inherited he charm from his late father who was a herbalist.

According to him, my father gave the vest to me. I kept it in our house since it was given to me.

Oyedokun, however, stated that it was not the first time he had put on the vest during an operation. He maintained that he usually goes out with it when going out for an operation.

He said, “The bullet proof vest failed me because I ought to have disappeared from the scene of the operation.

“I don’t know why the vest failed me. I was expected to have disappeared and not arrested at the scene when the Amotekun personnel stormed the venue of the operation.

Oyedokun was captured in a picture wearing the bullet vest during the parade by the police.

The security operatives also paraded other suspects that included kidnappers, armed robbers and those specialized Okada snatchers.

Amotekun described the suspects as responsible for terrorizing the people of the State in recent time.

The Commandant of the security outfit, Adeleye said the suspects have been profiled. He added that they would be charged to court after thorough investigations.
