A popular Nigerian filmmaker and actor, Patrick Doyle has said that the entertainment industry is now being controlled by Satan.
The veteran actor stated this while reacting to singer Tems’ recent BET award.
Recall that Tems, who is a secular musician won the best gospel music award at the 2024 BET Awards held on Monday. The event took place at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, United States.
Tems wining the award left the mainstream gospel musicians bewildered as most of them felt betrayed.
But reacting to the controversies generated by the award to Tems, Doyle took to his Facebook page.
He encouraged gospel singers not to be disillusioned by the award.
Doyle, however, cautioned them to stop seeking validation from the entertainment industry mafia.
He posted on his Facebook page, “I feel the pain of mainstream gospel artists. Who feel slighted that an evidently secular musician, Tems was awarded for best gospel song.
“That said, I believe it is about time that committed Christians should stop seeking validation from fickle institutions. Like the entertainment industry mafia which by the way is in the grip of Satan.”
