The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested the alleged mastermind of the attack and killing of passengers on the Abuja-Kaduna train.
Recall that the incident which happened in March 2022, was the height of insecurity in the country.
But two years after that horrifying incident, the Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the mastermind. The suspect was identified as Ibrahim Abdullahi, also known by the ominous name, moniker of Mandi.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed this on Thursday.
He informed the media that the suspect had also participated in the abduction of students from the Greenfield University in 2021.
The PPRO added that 48 AK-47 rifles were seized during Mandi’s arrest.
Adejobi, however, stated that efforts are underway to identify Mandi’s sponsor(s) and those that supplies him with weapons.
