This was announced by the Head of Press at the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC), Emmanuel Njoku, on Tuesday in Abuja.
Njoku stated: “The Federal Government has approved an increase of between 25 per cent and 35 per cent in salary for Civil Servants on the remaining six Consolidated Salary Structures.

Njoku also revealed that the Federal Government has also sanctioned increases in pension. This range from 20 per cent to 28 per cent for pensioners enrolled in the Defined Benefits Scheme. This is under the same consolidated salary structures.
“Like the salary adjustments, these pension increments are also scheduled to commence from January 1st,” Njoku stated.

Therefore, the increments underscores the Government’s commitment to upholding constitutional mandates and ensuring the well-being of its workforce.
